For Brands & Wholesale Buyers

Swimwear Sizing & Fit Development

Sizing a swimwear line is a development process, not a lookup table. We work with your brand from body measurements to fit approval to build a size range your market can trust.

How We Approach Sizing

Three connected stages that take a swimwear line from raw measurements to a production-ready size set.

01

Body Measurements

We start from the core body measurements every swimwear fit is built on — bust, waist, and hip. These give your development team a consistent reference point before any sizing decision is made.

02

Fit & Size Development

Sizing is developed around your brand’s target market, silhouette, and fabric stretch. We build size ranges and grading rules that match how you actually sell, rather than relying on a generic conversion table.

03

Sample & Fit Approval

Measurements, fit, and grading are confirmed on physical samples and signed off during fit approval. Only then does the approved size set move into bulk production.

Body Measurements

A general measuring reference for buyers. These are universal starting points — for production, garment measurements are taken flat on the sample and confirmed against the tech pack.

Bust Measurement

Measure around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape parallel to the floor and comfortably loose — a common reference for top sizing.

Waist Measurement

Measure around the natural waistline, the narrowest part of the torso. Keep one finger between the tape and the body — a common reference for bottoms.

Hip Measurement

Measure around the fullest part of the hips, approximately 8 inches below the waist, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

Fit & Sizing Development for Your Brand

Fit & Sizing Development

  • Fit is defined by pattern, fabric stretch, style, and your brand’s size standard — not a single fixed rule.
  • Sizing can be developed or adjusted for your specific target market and distribution channels.
  • Final measurements are confirmed on the sample and through fit approval, not from a generic table.
  • Grading and size ranges are reviewed per style before bulk production.

Custom Sizing Available

  • Custom sizing and private-label size grades are available for bulk orders. Minimum order terms (currently 500 pieces per style) are confirmed per project with our team.
  • Regional size adjustments can be developed for different markets.
  • Plus-size and petite ranges can be developed upon request.
  • Tolerance and measurement points are agreed in the tech pack before production.
